Yusra Fazal

Digital Marketing Trainee|BS Computer Science Student

I'm currently developing my digital marketing skills — SEO, keyword research and content strategy — while pursuing a BS in Computer Science. Most of what I know so far comes from coursework, self-study and small practice projects, and I'm steadily building real experience from there.

About

A student building towards digital marketing

Honest version: I'm early in my journey, and I'd rather show what I'm learning than claim experience I don't have yet.

I'm Yusra, a BS Computer Science student at DHA Suffa University in Karachi. Along the way I got genuinely curious about digital marketing — how a brand gets found, what makes someone click, and why some content works while other content disappears.

That curiosity turned into a focus. I've been working on SEO, keyword research, content strategy and market research, mostly through self-study, coursework and practice projects like Maid Connect. I also spend time with AI marketing tools, Canva and SEMrush to understand how research and content actually get done day to day.

Being a CS student helps more than I expected — it makes me comfortable with data, tools and technical detail. I'm looking for a trainee or internship role where I can keep learning from people who do this professionally and contribute properly while I do.

Search & research

Learning how SEO and keyword research shape what people actually find — and practising it on my own project ideas.

AI tools in marketing

Using AI tools for research, drafting and competitor scanning, while still checking the output myself.

Computer Science base

My CS coursework gives me the technical side — programming, databases and structured problem solving.

Digital Marketing

Maid Connect

Business idea · Market & keyword research

A platform concept that connects customers with trustworthy domestic workers, backed by research instead of guesswork.

  • Market research into how families currently find domestic help and where trust breaks down.
  • Keyword research to understand what people actually search for around maid and home-help services.
  • SWOT analysis covering demand, trust barriers, competition and verification challenges.
  • Used AI tools to speed up idea validation, competitor scanning and content drafting.

My role: My part was identifying who our target customers are and presenting the profit / revenue model — how the platform would earn money while connecting customers with domestic workers.

Computer Science

Online Queue System

Java · OOP

A queue management program that issues tokens and serves people in order, built to practise object-oriented design.

  • Modelled tokens, counters and the queue as separate classes with clear responsibilities.
  • Practised encapsulation and inheritance instead of writing everything in one file.
  • Handled edge cases like an empty queue and serving out-of-turn requests.

My role: Semester project — designed the class structure and wrote the logic myself.

Coursework / practice project — no public demo link.

Computer Science

Tic-Tac-Toe

C++

A console two-player Tic-Tac-Toe game — my early practice with arrays, loops and game logic.

  • Board state stored in a 2D array with input validation for taken or invalid cells.
  • Win and draw detection across rows, columns and diagonals.
  • Simple turn loop with readable console output.

My role: Individual practice project while learning C++ fundamentals.

Coursework / practice project — no public demo link.

Personal Static Website

HTML · CSS

A small multi-section static website I built to learn layout, spacing and responsive basics by hand.

  • Hand-written HTML structure with semantic sections.
  • CSS layout practice using flexbox and simple media queries.
  • Focused on typography, spacing and consistent colour choices.

My role: Self-directed learning project.

Coursework / practice project — no public demo link.
